How to read the result

Published RDAP dataWe query the RDAP service listed for the domain extension and show when the record was checked.
Dates can differRegistry and registrar expiration dates have different meanings. If both are published and disagree, we show both.
Unknown stays unknownIf no date is published, we do not invent a countdown. Confirm your renewal deadline with your registrar.

Common questions

Is a published expiry date my renewal deadline?

Not always. A registry date and the date in your registrar account may differ. For a domain you own, confirm when payment is due in your registrar account.

What if no expiration date appears?

Some RDAP records do not publish one. We show an unconfirmed result instead of estimating a date.

Does a past date mean the domain is available?

No. A registration may renew automatically or enter a post-expiration process. Check the registrar or registry before making a decision.

Understanding domain expiry dates

How to use a published date without mistaking it for a renewal guarantee.

Two dates may appear

RDAP may show a registry expiry date and a registrar registration expiration date. They can differ, so ExpiryBeacon presents both instead of choosing a countdown when they conflict.

What “past expiry” means here

It means the date in the last checked public record has passed. It does not establish that a domain is available to register. Renewal and post-expiration handling depend on the registrar and registry.

For a domain you own

Confirm the payment deadline in your registrar account, enable the registrar's renewal protections, and check the payment method. Use this tool as an independent check.
